Today I learned that Vivian Kistler passed away recently. I applaud PFM in having a special room for attendees at the West Coast Art and Frame Show in Las Vegas to pay their respects, especially to her two daughters who will be attending. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend, but I believe that her legacy and the contributions she made to the industry will be readily acknowledged and will be greatly missed.

Vivian Kistler was a pioneer in the framing industry. She has written and published more instructional books for framers than anyone else.
For decades her books, articles, and classes have influenced framers in North America, Europe, Australia, and perhaps the whole world.
Her lagacy of framing education will endure for a long time to come.

I just read in feb pfm magazine about Vivian and feel a deep loss, I have talked to her on the phone and she was always so helpful, thats what she liked to do, to help others in the framing industry, we will all miss her.
