Shadow boxing a putter. How have some of you attached the club to the backing successfully?

If it is to be in the frame permanently, then clear film straps would be my suggestion.

If the club is to be removable, then I woud use formed rod mounts.

These and other object mounting techniques are described in "THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO SHADOWBOXES AND FRAMING OBJECTS". On the left side of this page, find the big blue box and click on "Book store", about halfway down the list.

Thanks for your interest in helping me. Where do you buy your clear film straps. Do you use Melinex 516?

Yes, Melinex 516 is a popular clear polyester film for mounting objects. I buy rolls of it from national framing suppliers, but you may also buy it in rolls or sheets from archival material suppliers. thye price is higher that way, but perhaps the package sizes may be more convenient for you.

You may also purchase clear polyester film from local distributors of sheet & tube products. However, be sure to specify Melinex 516, Mylar-D, or Hostaphan 43-SM and accept no substitutes. The industrial market is full of low quality knock-offs, which may be chemically unstable or have less clarity.
